A heritage production process shaped by machinery, equipment and tools.

For hundreds of years, our trade was practiced without machines and with very few tools, originally as an itinerant craft.

Some stages of production have gradually been mechanized. Our work balances the efficient use of machinery, comfortable working conditions and the intelligence of the human hand.

The carding machine

Restoring the wool’s loft.

The machine does exactly what its name suggests: it cards the wool. A sequence of combs restores the wool’s volume.

It works like a comb through hair.

Named after its French manufacturer: RABIER

The mattress-edge sewing machine

Mounted on a rail, it is moved by a counterweight.

Its name describes its purpose: it closes the edges of the mattress, completely sealing the fabric casing.
