Refurbishing a box spring
Box spring refurbishment involves stripping the box spring so that the wood of its structure is exposed.
We refurbish all types of bed bases: sprung box springs and slatted bed bases.
Next, we shape new padding with new springs.
The box spring’s wooden structure determines its size, shape and finish. It can only be refurbished to the same specifications. Small exceptional changes can be made at the margins.
If changes are needed, we have to make a new box spring, that is, start again with a new wooden frame.
Time between two box spring refurbishments
Box spring refurbishment is carried out every 20 to 25 years. This renewal operation is repeated several times during the life of a box spring.
Leaving aside recycling that may take place after waste collectors remove our waste, only 50% of a box spring’s mass is reused during refurbishment.

Although the price ranges above ☝️ refer to standard sizes and refurbishments, we work exclusively to measure to meet every type of request.
How long does box spring refurbishment take?
Unless the work is especially complex, a box spring can be refurbished and returned the same day.
We agree on a repair date with you (taking into account our existing orders and current workshop workload) so that you do not have to arrange somewhere else to sleep while we work on your bedding.
For example, a standard 140 cm x 190 cm box spring can generally be refurbished within a single day by appointment.
If you would also like to refurbish your wool mattress, refurbishing the full bedding set may take longer.
It all depends on the complexity of the work.
