Among the guides to craftspeople in Paris, the Le Briand workshops appear in the fourth edition of Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte’s unconventional guide to their favorite Paris addresses. The two authors founded Astier de Villatte.
The book is also typeset and printed at S.A.I.G., the last letterpress printer in France still printing books with lead type. It is run by master printer and typographer François Huin.
Astier de Villatte is a Parisian design brand founded in 1996 by two Beaux-Arts students, Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte.
The company focuses primarily on handcrafted ceramics made in Paris workshops. In addition to ceramics, it creates fragrances, decorative objects and stationery, and has also founded a publishing house, Editions Astier de Villatte.
